Just wanted to say Thank You to everyone who entered the Goodreads Giveaway contests for my books:
Blue Girl and the Stars and A Haunting We Will Go . . .
I really, truly appreciate it. I sincerely wish everyone who entered could receive a copy. I did see where a couple of people who entered both contests won a copy of each book. Lucky You! Please leave ratings and reviews on both so I can see which you like best. Hopefully you love both, of course. I obviously can’t imagine you not enjoying them. But I wrote them, so I’m a little biased. My imagination may not be everyone else’s favorite playground, though I certainly enjoy it. I would, in fact, be totally lost without it.
In any case, to all who won–Enjoy the reading!
I guess that goes for everyone on Goodreads. That’s why we’re all here (or there), for the books. The story’s the thing . . .
Why am I thinking of Hamlet all of a sudden?
“The story’s the thing, wherein we’ll out the king . . .” Isn’t that the line? Well, something like that. Okay, I think it’s play instead of story, and perhaps it is to catch the conscience of the king, or something like that. (now I’m going to have to go look it up or it will bug me). We have no king to out or reveal, etc. At least not that I know of. We do have plenty of books to read, however. And to write!
So, “Lay on MacDuff . . .” Damn. Okay, that’s Macbeth, of course. And now I can’t stop. But that’s the extent of my Shakespeare quote knowledge anyway, so you’re safe. By lay on, I mean keep reading. Jump into the fray, enjoy the action.
No, wait, I used to could recite Hamlet’s To be or not to be soliloquy, but that was way back, in a galaxy far far away . . . And now we have new worlds to conquer, new frontiers to explore. We must go out into the vast universe/multiverse, space. . .We must boldly go where no man or woman has ever gone before. . .
And now it’s/I’m just getting stupid. All I mean, really, is let’s go find more books to read. Or write. I do believe I’m on the edge of a story here. So I’ll traipse off into the imaginary world, the land of make-believe, and see what I can find; thereby letting you get back to your life . . .
So, Thank You again, to all! And I bid you Adieu.
